Reject partisan entertainer Pirro as US Attorney for DC

The proposed appointment of Jeanine Pirro as interim US Attorney for Washington DC is a blatant attempt to weaponize the justice system for political vengeance. Piro has no meaningful prosecutorial experience in decades and her qualifications are overshadowed by her history of relentless sycophancy towards Trump.  She has promoted his lies about voter fraud, advocated for a "cleansing" of law enforcement agencies, and supported his efforts to undermine the 2020 election results. Her record demonstrates an alarming disregard for democratic norms and the rule of law.   This nomination follows Trump's similarly unqualified pick of Pete Hegseth as Defense Secretary, whose controversial actions have already jeopardized national security. Putting partisan television personalities in powerful government roles is an abuse of power that undermines institutional integrity. Pirro's well-documented loyalty to Trump over truth and her zeal for targeting his perceived enemies make her singularly unfit to serve as an impartial prosecutor.   The seriousness of this position demands a commitment to justice above personal allegiances. Pirro's inflammatory rhetoric and track record of promoting disinformation disqualify her. Her potential permanent appointment would enable further political persecution under the guise of law. This brazen cronyism cannot be allowed to erode the nation's justice system and democratic foundations. Decisive action rejecting this shameless power grab is imperative to uphold the sanctity of an independent judiciary.
