The Social Security Administration is quietly modifying the hospital birth registration form so that a Trump Account is automatically created alongside a child's Social Security number through the Enumeration at Birth program. Parents who want their child to have a Social Security number reportedly cannot opt out — the two are bundled into a single checkbox. That directly contradicts what the IRS and U.S. Treasury have publicly stated, which is that these accounts only open when a parent actively chooses to create one.
