Suspend military aid to Israel until humanitarian standards met.

I urge you to cosponsor and support the legislation introduced by Representatives Summer Lee and Greg Casar calling for the suspension of offensive military transfers to Netanyahu's government in Israel. This action is crucial for protecting innocent Palestinian and Israeli lives, securing the release of hostages, facilitating a lasting ceasefire, and moving toward long-term peace in the region. The evidence clearly shows that Netanyahu's government has failed to meet the basic humanitarian standards outlined by the U.S. administration in their October 13th letter. Despite the demand to allow a minimum of 350 aid trucks per day into Gaza, only an average of 42 trucks have been permitted entry, with some days seeing as few as six trucks. Furthermore, escalating violence has disrupted vital humanitarian efforts, such as the Gaza polio vaccination campaign, and medical professionals have been denied access to northern Gaza. The U.S. administration's demands regarding humanitarian pauses across Gaza and ensuring continuous access for aid organizations to northern Gaza have also been blatantly disregarded by Netanyahu's government. The United Nations reports that 82 out of 91 attempts to deliver aid to northern Gaza have been denied since October 6th, leaving approximately 100,000 people displaced. Continuing to transfer offensive weapons to a government that flagrantly violates humanitarian principles not only perpetuates the suffering of civilians but also undermines the United States' credibility and commitment to human rights and peace. It is imperative that we uphold our laws and values by suspending these transfers until Netanyahu's government demonstrates genuine compliance with the outlined standards.
