Remember way back in January, shortly after Trump reentered the Oval Office, when the White House proudly released an executive order titled “RESTORING FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND ENDING FEDERAL CENSORSHIP?”
That order says it’s the policy of the United States to “ensure that no Federal Government officer, employee, or agent engages in or facilitates any conduct that would unconstitutionally abridge the free speech of any American citizen.”
Good one.
Was that just more BS wrapped in the flag? Because what we’re watching right now is the methodical, intentional, deliberate, vindictive, assault by the federal government upon any citizen who displeases the King.
It’s apparent to anyone paying attention the president is unfettered. He is doing what he wants, when he wants. He arrests anyone he wants. He orders bombing of anyone he wants. He fires anyone he wants. He slanders anyone he wants. He extorts anyone he wants. He bullies whomever he wants. He is destroying democracy because he wants.
And he is rewarded by the GOP Congress for it all by their silence. Or at worst tepid concern always swathed in flattery and fealty to the King.
So we have a president who is absolute in his power to do anything.
And we still don’t know how deep he was in with Epstein. Because he has a solid wall of GOP defense.
Now he’s trying to erase our First Amendment rights. But y’all should be fine because you know all the right words to say.
You’ve had a lot of practice. Practice being Vichy Republicans. Practice at turning a blind eye. Practice at keeping your jobs over loyalty to your country.
Just when we think it couldn’t get much worse, it always does.
