An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives
Please support House Resolution 934 - let Julian Assange go free!

I am writing asking you to please support (or better yet - cosponsor) House Resolution 934. It urges the Department of Justice to drop all charges against Julian Assange.
Press freedom groups, mainstream publishers, and human rights organizations around the world oppose the U.S. prosecution of Julian Assange.
Prosecuting Assange threatens the First Amendment. If Assange is convicted, future administrations could use the precedent to prosecute journalists for doing their job by publishing truthful information.
I believe Assange’s journalistic activities are protected under the First Amendment. The United States needs to drop all charges against and attempts to extradite Julian Assange. Journalism is not a crime!
Please stand up for press freedom by supporting and/or signing on as a cosponsor of H. Res. 934.
Let Julian Assange go free!
