Protest Against the Arrest of Mahmoud Khalil—Defend the First Amendment
19 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!
I am writing to express my outrage and deep concern over the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil. His detention is a direct assault on the First Amendment rights of every American. Failing to act now risks setting a dangerous precedent that undermines our freedoms and betrays the core principles of our nation.
As an elected official, you have sworn an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. The First Amendment is a cornerstone of that Constitution, and your oath demands action in the face of injustice. I urge you to publicly condemn this violation of fundamental rights and demand accountability from those responsible. Additionally, I ask that you clearly communicate your stance to the public—through traditional and social media, official statements, and direct engagement such as town halls and press conferences. The people deserve to hear where you stand.
Do not be complicit in the erosion of our democracy. Speak out. Act. Honor your oath.
I look forward to your response and to seeing your decisive action in defense of the Constitution of the United States of America and the rights of the American people.
