An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Justice for Victims, Not Protection for Predators

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

If any sitting or former President, judge, corporate executive, or elected official is implicated in the sexual abuse of minors, the American people have a right to know. There is no acceptable excuse for shielding predators, especially those entrusted with public power. The Jeffrey Epstein case is not just about one man’s crimes. It is about a system of silence and complicity that protected the powerful at the expense of the vulnerable. Survivors deserve transparency. The public deserves truth. And every member of Congress has a duty to demand it, regardless of party. A federal judge has already ruled that unsealed Epstein case files must be made public, yet the release continues to be delayed. Justice cannot wait. The longer we allow these names and connections to remain hidden, the more we signal to victims that their pain is negotiable and to perpetrators that power protects them. If you have children of your own, or if you’ve ever held a child you love, you know what it means to want them safe. Every child deserves the same protection, whether or not the person who harmed them wears a suit, holds office, or donates to campaigns. No seat of power should be a shield from consequences. You were not elected to serve the powerful. You were elected to serve the people and to defend the vulnerable, especially children. This is not a partisan issue. This is a moral line. As someone who may draw strength from your faith, remember that Jesus did not look away from the hurting. He walked toward them. He protected them. He called out corruption and demanded justice. So I ask you, as a public servant and a human being:
Stand with the victims. Stand with the truth. Demand the full and immediate release of the Epstein files. Let the public see what the powerful want hidden. Show us that you serve the people, not just the privileged. Don’t let history record your silence. Let it remember your courage.
