Military Policy Raises Questions About the Bible’s Validity and Gender Dysphoria

I am writing to express my deep concern over the recent military directive mandating the identification and removal of service members diagnosed with or treated for gender dysphoria. As a Christian, I believe this policy contradicts the fundamental teachings of the Bible and Christian values of love, dignity, and equality.
Genesis 1:27 states, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” This verse suggests that both masculinity and femininity originate from God, implying that His nature encompasses qualities of both. If humanity, as male and female, reflects God’s image, then God is not limited to one gender but embodies the fullness of both. Given this biblical truth, I must ask—by enacting policies that discriminate against those who do not conform to rigid gender expectations, is the government also questioning God’s own nature and, by extension, His “gender identity” or “sexual orientation”?
Furthermore, Galatians 3:28 makes it clear that “there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Singling out individuals for exclusion based on gender identity is not just unbiblical—it is also a dangerous precedent that promotes division rather than unity.
This policy raises another pressing concern: If the military is now targeting individuals based on characteristics deemed “woke” by Christian nationalists, would faithful Christians who believe in treating all people with dignity and respect even be allowed to serve? Christ commanded us to love our neighbors, yet this directive fosters discrimination rather than compassion.
I urge you to take a stand against this policy and advocate for an inclusive military that respects both religious freedom and the dignity of all service members. Please let me know where you stand on this issue and what steps you are taking to ensure that our armed forces reflect the true values of justice, equality, and faith.
