Impeach & Remove Chief Justice John Roberts
I am a voting constituent writing to compel you to immediately impeach and remove Chief Justice John Roberts. Today’s New York Times investigation by Adam Liptak and Jodi Kantor (April 18, 2026) has provided hard evidence of his role in subverting the American judicial system through the expansion of the “shadow docket.”
The leaked internal memos reveal that the Chief Justice intentionally bypassed established legal procedures to stay the Clean Power Plan, not based on urgent legal necessity, but to protect private utilities from regulatory oversight. By engineering a secretive track for major decisions, Roberts has replaced the Court's commitment to transparency and due process with an opaque, outcome-driven agenda. This shadow jurisprudence allows the Court to dismantle critical environmental and social protections without oral arguments or public accountability.
As the birth of this modern shadow docket is now traced directly to Roberts' calculated maneuvering, it is clear he has prioritized ideological goals over constitutional integrity. His actions have eroded public trust and compromised the Court's legitimacy. We cannot allow the highest office of the judiciary to function as a tool for corporate interests behind closed doors. For these high crimes against the transparency of our democracy, John Roberts must be removed.
