You Must Act — America Cannot Abandon Ukraine

Enough delays. Enough hedging. Enough empty statements about “complexity,” “fatigue,” or “strategic patience.” Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a brutal, illegal war of conquest engineered by Vladimir Putin. It is not ambiguous. It is not defensible. It is not someone else’s problem. Russia started this war. Ukraine is fighting for survival. Russia is guilty. Every day Congress stalls, Ukrainians die. Cities burn. Civilians suffer. And the world watches the United States — the nation that claims to lead the free world — debate whether defending democracy is still worth the inconvenience. Let’s be brutally honest about what hesitation signals: • To dictators: aggression works • To allies: U.S. promises expire • To adversaries: America can be paralyzed • To history: this Congress blinked This is not fiscal prudence. This is strategic negligence. Ukraine is destroying a hostile authoritarian war machine without costing American lives. Supporting Ukraine is one of the most effective national security investments the United States can make. Yet some of you would rather posture for cable news, recycle Kremlin talking points, or pretend neutrality exists between an invader and the invaded. Neutrality in the face of aggression is not wisdom. It is surrender disguised as sophistication. If the United States abandons Ukraine, understand the consequences you will own: • Authoritarian regimes everywhere will be emboldened • Global instability will accelerate • American alliances will fracture • Future wars will become more likely, not less Weakness does not prevent conflict. It invites it. History is merciless toward leaders who failed moments that demanded clarity. No one will remember your procedural excuses, your election-year calculations, or your carefully worded press releases. They will remember whether you stood against naked aggression — or rationalized it. Congress must act immediately: • Fully fund and accelerate military aid • Expand humanitarian support • Publicly reject disinformation and false equivalence • State without hesitation: Russia’s invasion is illegal This is not about politics. It is about whether the United States still has the will to defend the principles it endlessly invokes — sovereignty, democracy, freedom, and the rule of law. If you lack that will, say so openly. But stop pretending that delay is prudence or that retreat is strategy. Ukraine is fighting. Russia is the aggressor. America must lead. DO SOMETHING NOW!
