Vote NO on PA SB 213 to protect trans rights

The so-called "Two Gender Protection Act" directly jeopardizes the rights, dignity, and well-being of transgender and non-binary people while ignoring their lived realities. Non-binary and transgender people should have the same legal rights and acknowledgement as other Pennsylvanians. SB 213 would impose restricted and antiquated conceptions of gender, restricting access to proper identification and promoting discrimination in healthcare, education, and public areas. The principles of equality and freedom that our state ought to preserve are not reflected in such measures. This bill may also have serious economic repercussions, as states that implement anti-LGBTQ+ laws frequently encounter opposition from companies and employers who value inclusivity. Instead of implementing regressive policies that harm its most vulnerable citizens, Pennsylvania needs to take the lead in safeguarding all of its citizens. I strongly urge you to vote against this harmful bill.
