Stop efforts to undercut California’s one-time Billionaire Wealth Tax

Representative Kevin Kiley is planning on introducing a bill, the “Keep Jobs in California Act of 2026”, that would attempt to preempt a key enforcement clause of the proposed California one-time Billionaire Wealth Tax. It is critically important for Californians to pass this tax to help those that have been devastated by Republican-led cuts to Medicaid made to fund tax cuts for billionaires. I urge you to vote against any such attempt to subvert the very necessary efforts to increase taxes on the wealthy.
