Reinstate women's rights to privacy

We on the precipice of a public health and American freedom crisis. I urge you to vote yes to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act on Friday. As with all other medical matters, a woman's medical decisions should be private and remain between the patient and their doctor. To dissolve this privacy will unravel a crucial pillar of our democracy and open the country up to a crisis of freedoms. Furthermore, the decision of the Supreme Court to undermine the 14th amendment is an extreme overreach of power. It is the duty of the executive and legislative branch to keep this in check. Under oath, these judges lied as they explicitly stated they would not overturn Roe v Wade. Allowing this type of dishonesty shatters the faith of the American people in the government system. Already in Texas, women are having to wait until they are knocking on death's door before their doctors will treat them, even if the problem could have been prevented much sooner. In cases where the pregnancy is healthy, women could still be trapped in dangerous situations. Afterall, the number one cause of death for pregnant woman is the US is homicide. The mortality rate of pregnancy in the US is already drastically higher than those in Canada and Europe and will only get worse if these bans are allowed to continue. During that time, an estimated 10,000 women died and hundred of thousands of children were placed in orphanages. These were overcrowded and underfunded leading to malnutrition and abuse. The current US foster, welfare and housing systems are already under stain and will not be able to handle more.
