Danger to Rural Hospitals

Senator Ed Markey and others have just published a study which with data suggests that as many as 300 rural hospitals could be forced to close if the cuts to Medicare currently outlined in the BBB take place. This would be disastrous for an already vulnerable population- as someone living in a relatively affluent suburban district where we’ve just lost hospitals due to mismanagement by private equity, I can’t imagine how much worse it will be in these already underserved areas. As I hear more about the components of the bill, I learn more about how dangerous it is for average Americans. I am asking you to work hard to reverse at least the most damaging effects.
