An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Don't weaken anti corruption statutes

**Oppose Any Weakening of Federal Anti-Corruption Statutes** Vote no on any measure that weakens federal anti-corruption statutes. These laws are the backbone of public accountability, and rolling them back sends a clear message that officials can act in their own interest without consequence. That is not a message I want sent on my behalf. Corruption erodes trust in every institution it touches. Weakening the statutes that prosecute bribery, self-dealing, and abuse of office does not reduce bureaucratic burden — it reduces accountability. The public is already skeptical of government; gutting the legal tools that keep officials honest will only deepen that cynicism. Hold the line on these protections.
