The attack against transgender people is un-American. In the constitution it says we have inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. President Lincoln said we were all equal. What you are doing is removing those inalienable rights from American citizens, giving them fewer rights than their fellow citizens. Should we not all have the same rights as each other? If a man receives testosterone to help with fertility or a woman receives progesterone to help with menopause, are these not the same as the hormones a person takes to affirm the gender they already are? Not just that but to become the person they always could be? And isn't that the point of America that everyone has the right to fulfill their potential?
The Bible says that All are equal in the love of Christ
“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28
Do you put yourselves above the Bible? Above Christ? That you cannot look inside yourselves and find love for your fellow humans?
You do not have to agree with someone to know that they are human beings worthy of love in the eyes of god. You do not have to like someone to understand that that founding fathers meant for us to share in our rights as Americans. Who are you to take those rights away from American citizens?
Search your hearts, and minds, listen to those who are speaking and vote to protect all Americans, not just those you personally value. Because judgement is not for you, but for god, and it will come for you if you seek to judge others. You are in a position of immense power, please use it wisely to protect all who call our great land home.
