An open letter to State Legislatures (Ariz. only)

Oppose intolerant student pronoun bill, prioritize inclusivity

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

This proposed legislation is an unnecessary overreach that infringes on the rights and wellbeing of students. Prohibiting the use of appropriate pronouns and names disrespects transgender and non-binary students' identities, erodes their sense of safety at school, and impedes their ability to learn and thrive. Respecting students' pronoun choices is a basic matter of human dignity that does not impinge on anyone else's rights. Rather than policing language, schools should cultivate an inclusive environment where all students feel accepted. I urge you to oppose this harmful bill that promotes intolerance under the guise of parental rights. Let educators exercise their professional judgment to support every student's welfare.
