The mass firing of dedicated federal workers across agencies like FEMA, the IRS, CDC, Departments of Defense and Education, VA, Forest Service, CFPB, FAA and TSA by Elon Musk's unelected DOGE team is deeply concerning. These ill-conceived layoffs have compromised critical government functions from disaster response to aviation safety to public health during a crisis. Many fired staff had to be immediately rehired, showing the recklessness of these actions aimed at providing tax cuts for the wealthy rather than maintaining core services. I urge you to forcefully oppose any budget that does not explicitly block DOGE's unconstitutional dismantling of the federal workforce through impoundment of funds. Protect these civil servants who keep our government running for the people.
