Ban facial recognition from use by law enforcement and social media. When an unreliable technology causes more harm than good it is time to put a brake on it. Innocent people are targeted because the technology fails and covers up its failure by identifying the wrong person. Innocent people go to jail. Innocent people have their lives destroyed.
I have worked in the technology field. I have experienced salesman selling technology that is not yet reliable , that has high failure because corporations want to be the first to make money off of it.
Google, Amazon, Facebook all need to be reined in. Corporate greed is a threat that they must be prosecuted for.
Democracy means people should be protected from unwarranted accusations just because of a bad tool. It should not mean that corporations have the right to destroy lives for their own profit.
