Stop the Privatization of the United States Postal Service

I am writing to express my strong opposition to any efforts to privatize the United States Postal Service (USPS)—a move that would devastate rural communities, disrupt essential services, and undermine our democracy. The USPS is a fundamental public institution, and privatization would prioritize corporate profits over the needs of the American people.
The privatization of USPS would hit rural communities the hardest. Unlike private carriers that charge exorbitant rates or refuse to deliver to remote areas, USPS ensures affordable and reliable mail service to every household, regardless of location. Stripping away this guarantee would leave millions of Americans—many of whom supported President Trump—facing reduced service, skyrocketing costs, and isolation from critical resources.
Beyond economic consequences, privatizing USPS is a direct threat to our democracy. The Postal Service plays a vital role in mail-in voting, ensuring secure and accessible elections for millions of Americans, including seniors, military personnel, and those in remote areas. Turning this public service over to private interests could lead to intentional delays, restricted access, and voter disenfranchisement.
I urge you to reject any and all attempts to privatize the USPS and instead work to strengthen and modernize this essential institution. The consequences of dismantling the Postal Service are too severe to ignore, and history will not look kindly on those who allowed it to be gutted for profit.
The American people are watching. We demand action to protect the USPS and the communities that depend on it.
