On July 24, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is scheduled to address Congress. This invitation was extended by GOP representatives without consulting Democratic colleagues.
Netanyahu’s brutal assault on innocent civilians in Gaza should bar him from ever entering the Capitol. From the use of the “Lavender” AI program, which specifically waited for targets to return to their homes before dropping bombs, to shooting a UN aid truck, bombing a WCK food convoy, and demolishing UN schools with children still inside, Netanyahu’s conduct in this conflict is flat out criminal. As my elected officials in Congress, I am calling on you to take decisive action, and send a message to Netanyahu. Boycott his appearance in Congress. Refuse to show up when he speaks. Alternatively, walk out when he arrives at the podium. The American people are sickened by his conduct — the same conduct that caused the ICC to issue a warrant for his arrest. Do not tolerate his speech. Do not humor him. Do not placate him with your presence. On July 24, you must show Netanyahu what Americans think of his actions: You must walk out.
