The anti-republic cult in Congress have made it clear they intend to abuse our very Constitution by using budget reconciliation to nullify the votes of half the country by excluding anyone not a cultist from consideration of the budget. Further, Mike Johnson’s framework, the most improbable kludge from our most incompetent President, will pad the wallets of the rich, punish what’s left of the middle class, and destroy the social safety net US citizens depend on.
As an Alaskan who has been a registered Republican longer that most Alaskans have been alive this is worse that a lying President, worse than the fact- and logic- free zone that is the House GOP extremists, worse that the culture warriors savaging what works in government to satisfy a petty, vindictive, reality TV person.
If you are proud of your party thus year, James Madison is frankly disgusted with you.
