I'm writing to ask you to demand that the FDA and HHS restore the officials, laboratories, and inspection protocols that have been cut under the Trump administration. These agencies are responsible for keeping our food safe, and it’s crucial that they have the staff and resources they need to do their jobs, especially now that Trump plans to import mystery meat. The latest outbreaks of measles, salmonella, and cyclosporiasis are not a coincidence. The lack of an appropriate response is not a coincidence, either.
