Trump Must not Use DOJ and FBI to Investigate Personal Grievances

Reports have emerged that Trump called individual FBI agents to personally thank them for their action in the legally questionable raid on Georgia's election office to steal 2020 ballot information. Initial statements by Tulsi Gabbard and her attorney claimed that Trump was not personally involved in the action at all, but these new reports directly conflict with those statements. As David Lauffman said, it is extremely dangerous to our democracy and a violation of standard protocols for a sitting president to be directly involved in domestic criminal investigations, especially one that's aimed at his own personal grievances. To make the director of national intelligence an instrument of his political will is shocking and incredibly damaging to our system of governance and justice. The DOJ and FBI should not be satellites to the President's will, they should be fully independent of the White House. I call on Congress to investigate this shocking overlap of conflicting powers, impeach and remove Tulsi Gabbard, Pam Bonid, and Kash Patel if needed, and isolate Trump to his actual powers without allowing him to overstep as he has been.
