Make Health Insurance Cover Prosthetic Devices

I am your constituent and I want you to know that health insurance in half the states does not cover prosthetic devices in case a limb, like a hand or foot is lost. This because in those states a prosthetic is not a medical necessity. While state laws require coverage in the other half of the states, many people’s insurance is not regulated by the states and so they are left out in the cold too. We really need your help to fix this for all Americans. I want you to pass legislation similar to this Colorado law requiring coverage for prosthetic devices as MEDICALLY NECESSARY.
