Protect the staff of the FBI

The recent request by the U.S. Justice Department to the FBI for a list of rank and file civil service employees at the Bureau who worked on January 6 investigations is a gross abuse of power by the administration to purge the FBI. This is revenge and retribution, plain and simple. More importantly, if Congress allows these firings to happen, it sends a dangerous message that all investigations conducted in opposition to the administration’s wishes, will result in the loss of your job. This is a precursor to dictatorship, and an action Congress should vehemently oppose. I expect you to support the retention of these civil service employees and the laws that uphold their rights.
