I am writing to urge you to take action to make PUERTO RICO a STATE and also grant statehood to WASHINGTON DC. These geographic areas are home to millions of Americans who pay taxes but do NOT have proper representation. This is WRONG WRONG WRONG and violates a core tenant of the founding of our country - no taxation without representation! It is shocking and unfathomable to me that in 2022 residents of small population states like Wyoming and Vermont each have 2 Senators but Puerto Rico and Washington DC combined have zero. This should rank with the highest priorities of our US Congress. The United States of America must represent ALL of our people. Right now we are heinously discriminating against the good residents of DC and Puerto Rico. Please take action on this ASAP! Thank you.
