THIS ADMINISTRATION IS NOT ON THE SIDE OF WE THE PEOPLE
2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!
Let’s get this straight.
Even though we are in shutdown mode and Americans will be suffering in a myriad of ways as a result, the $20B bailout of Argentina’s failing economy has been deemed essential by the Trump administration, amd will proceed.
The WH says construction of Trump’s golden ballroom in place of the East Wing of the White House will also continue during the shutdown.
The OMB Director continues his illegal impoundments of congressionally approved funding, but during the shutdown solely against states with Democratic senators. He cancelled $8B in funding for programs that he claims “fuel the Left’s climate agenda.” “The projects are in the following states: CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IL, MD, MA, MN, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OR, VT, WA,” Russell Vought posted on social media.
States have not yet been notified of the plan.
And he cancelled $18B in NYC infrastructure projects.
And more. On September 29, Trump signed an executive order giving to Qatar security guarantees that are much like those guaranteed by NATO .
The order says: “The United States shall regard any armed attack on the territory, sovereignty, or critical infrastructure of the State of Qatar as a threat to the peace and security of the United States. In the event of such an attack, the United States shall take all lawful and appropriate measures—including diplomatic, economic, and, if necessary, military—to defend the interests of the United States and of the State of Qatar and to restore peace and stability.”
Were y’all advised of this? Isn’t the Senate supposed to ratify such a military commitment to a foreign nation?
The agreement appeared to come to pass during the Monday visit of Netanyahu to the WH. Looks like more quid pro quo.
Trump got a $400M luxury 747-8. Qatar got a US military commitment that Israel’s recent strike on Qatar would not be repeated.
As anticipated, the shutdown gives the Trump administration the final excuse to do away with your congressional power once and for all.
You’ve been furloughed.
What we see is an administration taking advantage of the chaos they have created. Just as we expected they would. They are making their citizens suffer, while continuing with gilded excesses. And making deals with foreign countries that could involve our military, without consulting the Congress as required by our Constitution.
Just how much will be enough for you to do something? We’ve run out of words to describe how unacceptable this all is.
