American Jews say it's time to condition aid to Israel

As a constituent and an American Jew, I ask you support H.R. 2407, which conditions American aid to Israel on compliance with human rights standards. Jerusalem is on fire tonight, and the Israeli government would like us to believe that this is due to unprovoked violence on the part of the Palestinians. This is a blatant lie. The IDF and allied right wing civilian groups have been provoking and instigating violence against the Palestinian population for weeks. The government's attempts to illegally evict Palestinians from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah is nothing short of ethnic cleansing. I am tired of support for the current Israeli government's illegal and immoral actions being paraded by my representatives as somehow what I as a Jew want. You will not win my vote by supporting the occupation. American Jews are not a monolith. Huge numbers of us want to end the occupation. You need to start listening.
