I am writing to you today as a concerned constituent from our State to urge you to vote against the proposed "Big Budget Bill." This legislation poses a severe threat to our state by proposing significant cuts to healthcare for millions of residents, including vulnerable children, and making deep cuts to essential programs like Medicaid.
Such cuts would undoubtedly devastate countless individuals and families in our state, potentially leaving millions without access to critical medical care and increasing the burden on our healthcare systems.
Furthermore, the bill's proposed reductions to vital food service programs directly impact the well-being of our citizens and the livelihoods of our hardworking farmers. These programs are crucial for addressing food insecurity and provide essential support and income for local growers in our agricultural communities. Reducing these funds would mean less support for our local economies and could exacerbate food insecurity for many.
I implore you to prioritize the health and economic stability of families and communities in our state. Please vote no on this harmful budget bill and instead champion policies that strengthen, rather than diminish, these vital services.
In addition one out of every four new jobs in the USA is in healthcare, this bill would destroy that growth and our ability to take care of all US Citizens in every state. This bill also adds trillions to our debt as a nation.
Thank you for your time and consideration of this critical matter.
