I'm writing to urge you to vote against the proposed Fiscal Year 2025 budget resolution and oppose subsequent efforts throughout the reconciliation process to fund President Trump’s plans for mass detention and deportations. As your constituent, I am deeply concerned about the financial and human costs of this funding approach for everyone in our state. These operations will tear families and communities apart, while diverting crucial resources away from essential human needs and services. I am counting on my representative to reject the use of taxpayer dollars to persecute people seeking or building a better life in our country, particularly as so many of us struggle alongside them to meet our basic needs.
We need better education, affordable healthcare, and secure housing—not more family separation, immigration jails, and border walls. Say NO to immigration enforcement funding in budget reconciliation.
