Please ACT NOW For the People of Iran

I am writing as your constituent to ask that you act now for the people of Iran. As we approach September 16th, the one-year anniversary of Jina Mahsa Amini's arrest and subsequent murder at the hands of the of the brutal regime in Iran, I implore you act on the following points: First, it is crucial that Congress fast track and pass Mahsa Act HR 589. A Senate Companion bill has been introduced - S.2626. As an American, I want my voice to be heard in Washington via your support of this measure. Second, I am troubled by the news that the United States has appeased the regime with a $6bn hostage deal. I am equally troubled that this may have other deals attached to it, including a nuclear deal. I ask that a Congressional Oversight Hearing is held regarding this deal. As this comes on the heels of news that Iran Envoy Robert Malley has been suspended pending investigation, I also ask for Congress to subpoena him and all associates including but not limited to NIAC founder Trita Parsi, Acting Iran Envoy Abram Paley, Advisor Brett McGurk and Secretary of State Antony Blinkin to testify regarding any and all involvement with the regime in Iran. especially focused on this deal and all other associated deals. Third, please recognize that NIAC, PAAIA, and their associates are not trusted by the Iranian people and are, in fact, lobby groups for the regime. As mentioned above, NIAC founder Trita Parsi should be under investigation for his connections to and efforts to lobby for the Islamic Republic Regime. Equally, MEK (also known as NCRI) do not in any way represent the Iranian people with less than 1% support. Finally, show your support for the Iranian people by attending protest rallies in Washington, D.C. on September 16th, Mahsa Day, the one year anniversary of Jina Masha Amini's death at the hands of the Islamic Republic. This will show your intent to support the people in Iran in their fight for freedom from the Islamic Republic, who are not only a brutal dictatorship, but a sponsor of global terror and one of the gravest threats to American safety and prosperity. The Iranian people are demanding freedom and, as human beings, they have the right to freedom from this brutal regime. I am asking you, as a fellow American, and also as a human being, to ensure action on the above mentioned items by September 16, 2023, the anniversary of the day an innocent wormen was murdered by the Islamic Republic for being improperly veiled, for being Kurdish, for preserving her history, for being Iranian. As leaders of the free world, the United States must now help bring the Islamic Regime to its end and ensure a prosperous and free future for the people of Iran. Thank you,
