Reject Trump’s Authoritarian EO to Cut Funding for NPR, PBS

I am writing to demand immediate action to block President Trump’s executive order cutting all federal funding to NPR and PBS. This is not fiscal policy, it’s political retaliation against trusted, independent journalism. Public broadcasting is a cornerstone of our democracy, not a threat to it. NPR and PBS are among the most trusted news sources in the country. Pew reports that only 24% of Americans oppose federal funding for them, while 43% support it. Even 65% of Trump voters say public broadcasting is underfunded or adequately funded. These institutions reach every corner of the country, especially rural and underserved communities, delivering fact-based news, education, and emergency alerts. This order is an attack on a free press and an informed public. I urge you to act now, introduce legislation, block this executive order, and protect NPR, PBS, and the millions of Americans who depend on them.
