Republican Hypocrisy on Child Safety and Public Endorsements

I am writing to ask a very direct question: why are Republicans openly cheering, promoting, and associating themselves with Kid Rock, despite his well-documented history of glorifying sexual exploitation of minors in his own lyrics?
Kid Rock released a song that includes the line, “Young ladies, young ladies, I like ’em underage, see.” That is not ambiguous. That is not taken out of context. That is an adult man explicitly sexualizing underage girls for entertainment and profit. Yet Republican lawmakers and party figures continue to praise him, appear alongside him, and treat him as a cultural hero.
This behavior is disgusting.
Republicans claim, loudly and repeatedly, that they are the party of “protecting children.” They pass laws censoring books, policing teachers, and attacking LGBTQ people under the pretense of safeguarding minors. But when a wealthy, politically useful celebrity openly references sexual interest in underage girls, that concern suddenly vanishes.
So which is it?
Are children actually worth protecting, or is “protecting kids” just a talking point you deploy when it’s politically convenient?
You cannot credibly claim to care about child safety while celebrating someone who has publicly normalized the sexualization of minors. Silence and complicity in this case are endorsements. By continuing to cheer Kid Rock, Republicans are signaling that they are perfectly comfortable overlooking sexual exploitation as long as the offender is on their side.
I want to know whether you personally condemn this behavior and whether you believe it is acceptable for public officials to align themselves with individuals who promote content like this. If you truly believe in protecting children, this should be an easy line to draw.
I expect a clear answer.
