An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Defend democracy from Musk's seditious assault on institutions

8 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

The situation with Elon Musk's unauthorized group infiltrating government agencies is an alarming assault on American democracy. This unelected individual is overstepping all boundaries and seizing power through illegal means, posing a severe threat to our system of checks and balances. Urgent action is imperative to safeguard our democracy and hold Musk accountable for his seditious actions. Congress must utilize all available procedural tactics to impede the progress of Musk's agenda and compel Republican members to confront this crisis. Obstructing routine legislative processes, prolonging confirmations, and staging public hearings to shed light on the harm caused by Musk's interference are necessary steps. Failure to act decisively jeopardizes the integrity of our governing institutions and the rule of law. It is a constitutional imperative to counter this attempted coup and preserve the democratic principles upon which our nation was founded. Musk's rogue behavior cannot be permitted to undermine the will of the people and our system of self-governance. Decisive measures are crucial to restore order, uphold the Constitution, and protect American citizens from the perils of autocracy.
