Yoav Gallant, the former Israel Defense Minister, plans to travel to the United States despite an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza. The warrant was issued after Israel's devastating offensive on Gaza that has killed over 44,000 Palestinians, wounded over 100,000, and left more than 10,000 unaccounted for under the rubble of their homes. Gallant's trip risks an emergency landing and arrest in any of the 123 countries that recognize the ICC's jurisdiction.
