Protect the Freedom of Press

I am writing today as your constituent to ask what you are doing to protect the clearly defined First Amendment rights for all Americans, especially the Freedom of the Press. The current ban on Associated Press reporters from the Executive Order signings sets a dangerous precedent and a slippery slope for loss of other inalienable rights. The President's personal preferences on changing the name of a body of water should not be used to punish members of the free press. As a note, the Gulf has held the same name for centuries, notably for a time longer than that of America's existence as a country, which makes this situation all the more childish. The retaliatory, immature behavior here is frightening. I am also concerned about the lack of separation of church and state. The White House Faith Office seems like it will quickly make it difficult to express yet another right of the first amendment, freedom of religion. If the President can behave this way despite constitutional rights, what's to prevent him from taking away my free speech, my right to assemble, my right to petition the government (as I am doing now)? What's to prevent him from taking away YOUR rights? Please, stand up for the Associated Press now, to prevent further losses of constitutional protections, before it's too late.
