Congress, and Congress ALONE, has the power of the purse. What Trump has done is allow an unelected billionaire to run roughshod through Federal agencies, impound funds allocated by Congress, and illegally terminate employment for thousands of Federal employees, over whom Musk has NO AUTHORITY. Saying that "the president authorized it" - as one of Senator Johnson's staff told me to my face - is not authorization AT ALL. This is all DANGEROUSLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL and needs to be stopped IMMEDIATELY. Musk and his henchmen should be arrested, subject to civil contempt, and Trump should be impeached by Congress. This isn't a matter of "different management styles" or "overreacting" - this is a constitutional crisis that every elected member of Congress should treat as a five alarm fire (or admit they had no intention of following their oath to the Constitution). Stop attempting to find a "middle road" - that exit was long past. Who do you work for? Musk or the American people?
Do the right thing and stop Musk NOW.
