All workers sell their bodies and skills for income. Criminalizing a subset of workers is rediculous. That makes it more dangerous for them as they are forced to work in more secretive environments and the state is used as a threat against them.
Ask your constituents how many times people have tried to threaten the by calling immigration. Now compound that with people who think they are entitled to your body and have more law enforcement options to choose from. To combat bigotry start with the state.
