Stop Ice abuses and collateral arrests

As a congressional representative you have oversight over ICE and DHS. Rein in abuses and don’t fund offshore expansions of places like Guantanamo. Fifty-seven percent of Americans opposedeporting those who are not accused of crimes, 70% oppose deporting those brought to the U.S. as children, and 66% oppose deporting those who have children who are U.S. citizens. Trump’s signature issue of deporting undocumented immigrants receives 51% approval only if respondents think those deported are “criminals.” There’s no mandate to tear apart families. And the current raids constitute terrorism. They’re tearing apart communities and hurting businesses and local economies.
