The site mimics a government service but uses aggressive, deceptive marketing patterns to push users into a maze of irrelevant “deals.” This predatory relationship has quietly persisted for decades, allowing a private entity to profit from what should be a simple public service. People expect to change their address with USPS — not hand over personal data to be sold by a commercial ad network. I urge Congress to investigate this long-standingly problematic USPS vendor relationship and take immediate action to: • End the USPS partnership with MyMove and require all address changes to occur securely within USPS.gov. • Audit USPS for any other vendor contracts that mislead or exploit users. • Rebuild USPS Digital Services to meet current consumer protection and usability standards — the organization wiped out by Elon Musk’s DOGE that helped federal agencies with their technology (https://www.nextgov.com/people/2025/02/musks-doge-efforts-pose-constitutional-crisis-experts-warn/).
