End the Shutdown- Agree to Democrats' Requested Concessions

I call on you as my elected Congress person to reconsider the budget negotiations with the Democrats. They are only trying to protect healthcare for the citizens of this country, and to restore the checks and balances that should be in place to limit the Executive Branch's power and control over the treasury. President Trump has stretched the limits of his power, and Congress should take a stand against his overstep. The President is callously and casually spending money on many frivolous, ego-driven items that are not in any way necessary to the country, or helpful to its citizens or the world, while removing funding from critical social programs like Medicaid, SNAP, and USAid. I call on Congress to end this government shut down by agreeing to the concessions the Democrats have asked for in the budget.
