An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Extend protections for Ukrainian refugees, uphold humanitarian values

32 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

I strongly oppose the revocation of temporary legal status for 240,000 Ukrainians who fled the Russian invasion. These migrants have already endured immense hardship and trauma due to the brutal war, and stripping away their legal protections would be an inhumane and callous act. The United States has a moral obligation to provide refuge for those escaping conflict and violence. Deporting vulnerable Ukrainians would not only endanger their lives but also betray our nation's values of compassion and human rights. I urge you to fight against this cruel policy and instead extend protections for Ukrainian migrants until it is truly safe for them to return home. Upholding our humanitarian commitments is not only the right thing to do, but it will also strengthen America's global standing and leadership.
