Republicans’ thirst for revenge shows in their current budget bill.
They want to punish THEM for “getting free stuff” that rightfully “belongs to US” because we work hard, unlike THEM, who are lazy, greedy freeloaders.
Cuts to SNAP, child nutrition, Medicaid are unconscionable. Cuts to Medicare due to “Paygo” add layers of cruelty.
There are two other provisions that are equally or even more dangerous:
1) Sect. 70302–restricts federal courts’ authority to hold govrnment officials in contempt for violating judicial oders.
2) Sect. 43201(c)—10-yr ban on enforcement of state & local laws regulating AI in political campaigns and elections. This could create untold harm from disinformation from bad actors.
Just more and more reasons for you and 100% of your Democratic colleagues to rise up and say NO to HR 1 !!!
