Investigate the Fraudulent Use of Taxpayer Dollars for Trump Propaganda

I am your constituent. I’m begging you to wake up and investigate the Trump administration’s blatant use of taxpayer dollars to broadcast what appears to be political propaganda.
The federal government recently spent more than $1 million airing a television advertisement during major broadcasts, including Fox News Sunday, Saturday Night Live, and numerous football games. The problem? This was not a legitimate public-service announcement. It was essentially a Trump campaign ad—apparently repurposed from an advertisement Trump ran during his 2024 campaign, with the campaign branding removed and the bill handed to American taxpayers.
That is an outrageous abuse of public money.
The White House calls these advertisements “public service announcements” promoting patriotism. That defense insults the intelligence of the American people. Government-funded informational campaigns explaining how citizens can access public benefits are fundamentally different from repackaging a campaign advertisement for a sitting president and making taxpayers pay for it.
Congress must determine exactly who authorized these expenditures, how much taxpayer money was spent, what legal authority was used, and whether federal appropriations laws prohibit this conduct.
I demand that you:
-Immediately investigate the production, purchase, authorization, and distribution of these advertisements.
-Request all contracts, invoices, communications, and internal approvals related to their creation and broadcast.
-Refer the matter to the Government Accountability Office and appropriate inspectors general for an independent investigation.
-Determine whether taxpayer funds were unlawfully or improperly used for political purposes.
-Hold accountable anyone who knowingly misused federal funds, including pursuing repayment or other appropriate remedies where warranted.
-Establish clear safeguards preventing any administration from using taxpayer dollars to promote a president, political campaign, or partisan agenda.
Taxpayer money belongs to the American people—not to Donald Trump, not to his campaign, and not to any president seeking favorable publicity.
If this administration truly cares about government waste and fraud, Congress should start by investigating this.
Do your constitutional duty. Follow the money. Find out who authorized it. And hold them accountable.
