Defend Democracy — Reject the Misuse of the Insurrection Act

It is an attack on our federal system and on the foundational principle that no one — not even the President — is above the law. Congress must act swiftly to defend the balance of powers and the rights reserved to the states. I urge you to: Publicly oppose any invocation of the Insurrection Act in this context. Support legislation or resolutions limiting the President’s ability to misuse military authority against civilians. Demand oversight hearings to ensure transparency and accountability in any deployment of federal forces. Join or initiate legal action if necessary to block this unconstitutional overreach. The United States is not a battlefield, and American communities are not enemy territory. Authorizing troops to be used against our own people would be a moral and constitutional catastrophe.
