Block Jan. 6th Rioters from State Jobs

Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you to sign an executive order similar to Governor Pritzker of Illinois that would block the ‘pardoned’ but still criminally liable January 6th rioters from being hired for jobs with the state government. It reflects my view that anyone that participates in a violent attempt to overthrow the government should never serve in government. Here’s part of what Pritzker said: “These rioters attacked law enforcement officers protecting people in the Capitol, disrupted the peaceful transfer of power, and undermined bedrock principles of American democracy.” I urge you to do the same. It’s a small, but important way to stand up for the rule of law. A pardon does not mean innocence, especially for many of these rioters, who already have criminal records. Thank you.
