Pass a relief bill now. Stop hiding behind deficit as a talking point.

Please stop playing politics, and vote yea on any upcoming COVID relief bill. You have twice blocked COVID bills, citing worry of federal deficit. I don’t believe one bit that your concern for the deficit is true, since you have voted yea on the 2017 H.R.1 to approve massive tax cut, which has added roughly $1.4 Trillion to the deficit over this decade. If you could vote for a deficit-creating bill back then that brings no actual economic benefits except for the richest, then you certainly can vote for a deficit-creating bill now that will actually help everyone in America. Principles are not for lip service. Please just serve your constituents by passing a much-needed relief bill, and then you get to go home. Many rely on this relief — any relief — to even keep their homes.
