Congress Must Stop the Illegal War in Iran

​President Trump’s threats to destroy Iranian power plants and bridges violate international and American law. Targeting civilian infrastructure is a war crime and shows a dangerous lack of restraint. I am calling on you to take these specific actions: ​Republican leadership must publicly insist the President stand down and follow the law. Congress must hold immediate hearings on his fitness to exercise war powers. You must demand testimony from military leaders to ensure they will refuse unlawful orders. ​Congress has a duty to act as a check on this instability before it leads to a catastrophic and illegal conflict.
