An open letter to State Governors & Legislatures (Texas only)
YOU WORK FOR THE STATE OF TEXAS. ACT LIKE IT

Question. What do my Texas elected officials think about bulldozers in Big Bend National Park?
Where is the Texas swagger that has always said ‘Don’t Mess with Texas’?
Where are the Texas politicians that always bellowed about private property rights when the federal government is imminent-domaining folks and seizing property on our southern border?
Where are you while bulldozers are currently destroying miles of pristine wilderness in our state’s most beloved park?
Who decided that this invasion by out-of-state contractors paid how much in our taxpayer dollars was a good thing?
How is this happening? Who is allowing it to happen? Whose legacy is it going to be to destroy a landscape that will never recover for a project that will serve no purpose other than destruction? And politics?
So tell your constituents…who is allowing this? If y’all had any hand in this, which you did if for no other reason than you let it happen, you should be put out of a job. And run out of Texas.
Because the ones messing with Texas right now are you.
You should be disgusted with what’s going on in your home state.
Because it’s disgusting. A border wall in Big Bend is disgusting. And the people letting it happen are definitely disgusting.
Remember who it is you work for.
P.S. just watched Rep. Virdell on the local news standing up for Big Bend, the people there, and his state. So he is not included in this call to action. He already is. And I thank him for that.
